JHELUM: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said that he will continue his battle against ‘corrupt’ politicians as long as he is alive.
Speaking to PTI workers in Jhelum, Khan said that the party holds no personal grudges against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, adding that the Khan-led party’s battle is against ‘thieves’ and ‘corrupt’ individuals who have looted the country’s resources.
Continuing his tirade against Nawaz Sharif and family, Khan said that the family has become ‘billionaires’ by ‘looting’ the national resources.
He also criticised newly appointed PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif saying that “will Shehbaz steal the nation’s financial resources and recite Habib Jalib’s poetry at the same time?”
Earlier on Tuesday, PML-N elected unopposed Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif as its permanent party president.
While the Central General Council was in session at Islamabad, it reached a decision to elect the unchallenged nomination of Shehbaz Shairf as PML-N’s president.
