KARACHI Pakistan People’s Party leader Abdul Qadir Patel has denied all claims of ever having close relations with Uzair Baloch, saying that he has never even met the gangster personally.
According to Patel, he only ever met Baloch on social gatherings and vents and never otherwise.
He said that everyone knew Baloch and he did enjoy a certain political as well as social standing. Patel further claimed that Baloch also formed the Karachi City Alliance which was in fact politically very active before Baloch earned the reputation of being a criminal.
Patel denied all allegations of Baloch distributing party tickets in Lyari.
Baloch had previously claimed that Patel facilitated permits of eight Kalashnikovs for him but the PPP leader denied all allegations and said that if proven guilty he should be severely punished.
Patel claims that he gave “satisfactory and logical” answers to questions asked by Rangers during his detention. He also added that he and Uzair never shared a moment together during custody.
Baloch also denied having knowledge over the allegations made by Baloch regarding Patel having an integral role in appointment of Saeed Baloch and Nisra Morai in the Fishermen Cooperative Society.
He also said that Allah knows best about who is behind the rise of Baloch in Lyari.
