KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Faryal Talpur on Monday challenged the interim challan given by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the case related to money-laundering.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is investigating the case in which money was laundered from fake bank accounts. PPP leader Asif Zardari and his sister, Faryal Talpur, 32 other suspects have been named in this case.
However, Talpur has filed a petition at the Sindh High Court (SHC) today.
Talpur’s petition read that interim challan given by FIA does not clearly say the charges or her name. She has also requested the court to dismiss charges against her and to nullify the case.
Previously, on July 12, the Supreme Court (SC) had ordered that the FIA should not summon Zardari and his sister, Talpur until the general elections while hearing the suo motu case.
