PESHAWAR – The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended three wanted terrorists affiliated with banned terrorist outfit in Dir Bala an area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On a tip-off, the security forces conducted a raid in a hideout in Dir Bala area and arrested three terrorists, identified as Gul Zad, Umer Hayat, and Ehsan-ullah. According to CTD, the detainees were wanted in cases of various terrorist attacks on security forces during 2009-2011, while they were also wanted to police in several terrorism cases.
The detainees have been shifted to undisclosed locations for further investigations. Meanwhile, on a tip-off, police conducted a raid in Sheikh Maltoon area of Mardan and rounded-up 45 suspected persons including four Afghan Nationals. Police claimed that the Afghan nationals were living illegally in the Pakistan territory.
The detainees were shifted to undisclosed locations, while further investigations were underway. The identity of detainees could not be ascertained immediately.
